Paint can be one of the most toxic, health-harming substances you use in your home. That smell of "fresh paint" may evoke design dreams or a "new house" feeling, but harmful VOCs can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, headaches, loss of coordination, nausea, and even damage to the liver, kidney and central nervous system! A fresh coat of paint is the easiest and cheapest way to update a room - but how can you achieve your desired "look" without all of the hazards to your health?

Homestead House is the only Milk Paint manufacturer in Canada, and produces 100% natural, VOC-free, biodegradable paint, right in Toronto!

In this workshop, instructor Jennylyn Pringle of Homestead House Milk Paint will cover:

  • History, characteristics and preparation of Milk Paint
  • Easy methods of custom colour matching
  • Faux-finishing techniques, antiquing, distressing etc.
  • Crackle finishes
  • Top coats
  • Bonding to different surfaces

Taking this hands on Milk Paint Finishing Workshop will ensure that you acquire a strong knowledge of how to use milk paint products, stains and natural finishing oils. During this one-day course, you will finish a small bookshelf that is provided for you, to be taken home to display your new talents!
